Hotel Vincci The Mint
Vincci The Mint Hotel
An avant-garde hotel with unique spaces in a historic building on Gran Vía avenue.
Vincci The Mint is a hotel right on Madrid’s Gran Vía avenue, housed in a building that opened in 1921 and originally belonged to La Estrella insurance company. The innovative, avant-garde concept that distinguishes it is the work of interior designer Jaime Beriestain, who respected the building’s essence but added a surprising originality that’s apparent as soon as you walk through the door.
The hotel has 88 guest rooms and suites that are decorated in pure avant-garde style. There’s a hint of the British about them and they feature cool tones and vintage details. One of the hotel’s most outstanding singular spaces is El Portal, a unique venue where the building’s original architecture has been preserved and clients can host their events in a space that’s both different and personal.
Another space that deserves a special mention is the Gastrobar, which has an entrance from the street and also serves as the hotel’s reception area, creating an original sort of welcome experience right from the start. The rooftop is home to The Mint Roof, a laid-back spot with views of Gran Vía, including Círculo de Bellas Artes, the Metrópolis building’s Winged Victory and the Telefónica building tower, on one side, and views of the roofs of Chueca on the other, looking out from the viewpoint towards Calle de la Reina. Along with the views, you’ll find a curious food truck in the refreshing mint colour the hotel is named after.
