The main façade of the National Auditorium presides over the Plaza Rodolfo y Ernesto Halffter, which opens on one side to Calle Príncipe de Vergara, just by the Cruz del Rayo metro station.
Framed by office buildings combining glass, metal and brick, the square is divided in two main sections; on the one hand, there are a number of simple green areas, and on the other hand, and as its most distinctive characteristic, there are stands oriented towards the auditorium, creating a wide space with the musical infrastructure as its background.
The façade of the Auditorium is made up of a segmental pediment divided into two main volumes with a section between them. Finished in brick combined with white stone and glasswork, there is also a colonnaded portico beneath which we find what is the main front entrance to the building.
