Taberna de la Reina
A traditional Madrid tavern with contemporary decor on Gran Vía Avenue.
The Taberna de la Reina (the Queen’s Tavern) is a prime example of a traditional tavern on Gran Vía Avenue in the city centre. It has two separate spaces, the bar and the restaurant. A large bar area with tables and high chairs ideal for enjoying a few tapas, an aperitif, or a well-deserved break from the hustle and bustle of Gran Vía Avenue.
The restaurant has two different areas. A spacious lounge with coloured tables and chairs, ideal for an informal lunch or dinner in a fun atmosphere where you can enjoy and share classic recipes presented with gusto. The room that overlooks Calle Reina, with stained-glass windows that are more than 8 metres high and a ceiling that pays tribute to the typical pastures of Spain, with a family of actual size pigs grazing under an oak tree.
Two spaces which although independent from each other share the same cuisine and a charcuterie area where all the products are carved to order. A picture postcard tavern imbued with the smell of cured ham, cheese and salted fish.
