Biblioteca Pública Municipal Conde Duque
A bright and spacious, municipal library in a renovated historical building.
The Conde Duque Municipal Public Library is located in the old Conde Duque Barracks, the current home of the Conde Duque Cultural Centre. A refurbished historical space whose reopening in 2011 made it possible to increase the number of cultural facilities in the centre of the city.
The library is located in the north courtyard of the building and occupies a surface area of more than 5,500 square metres, laid out over two floors. It consists of a reading room, a children’s room, a lending area and consultation areas.
Of note are the newly constructed staircase, as well as the arcades of the central corridor and the luminosity and exterior views that its large windows provide.
