Calle de Jacobeo y Calle de las Trompas
Different architectural styles at a junction in Carabanchel.
Different architectural styles at a junction in Carabanchel. This crossroads stands out on account of its eclecticism, combining as it does different architectural styles. It is an area of wide roads and wooded areas, with a bike lane, one-way traffic, and buildings erected mainly in the early 2000s.
Of particular note is the Carabanchel Building, located in the northeast corner, a striking block of council flats whose façade is clad with rectangular coloured panels, inspired by the work of Paul Klee. The Romanian Orthodox Cathedral is found in the adjacent Calle Tubas.
