Camino del Cementerio de Vallecas
A unique pathway along the wall of the cemetery.
The Villa de Vallecas cemetery is located in between the historic centre and the expansion of this district of Madrid, on Calle Pico de la Cierva. Around it runs the so-called cemetery path.
It is a gravel path with walls on either side and leafy wild vegetation that skirts the cemetery. The wall, covered with graffiti, is low enough to be able to look inside the cemetery.
Towards the northeast, the path is crowned by the Church of San Pedro ad Víncula tower, which dominates the historic centre of Vallecas. The main entrance to the cemetery is tarmacked and opposite there is a cobbled park area.
