Casino Gran Vía
An Art Deco palace that houses an elegant gambling casino.
Built between 1919 and 1924, the Gran Via Casino is located in a luxurious building on Gran Via Avenue that was once the headquarters of the Trade and Industrial Circle of Madrid.
The building features a monumental stone façade with neo-Renaissance and Spanish Plateresque motifs, such as the series of semi-circular arches on the upper floor. The building is crowned by an imposing tower with a pointed dome and a black slate roof.
Its interior is distributed over 8 floors, the first 3 of which are communicated by an imperial marble staircase and laid out around an atrium presided over by a spectacular stained-glass window, which was created by the House of Maumejean. Its most outstanding spaces include:
The Royal Lounge, a 260 square metre ballroom of great ornamental and architectural wealth, where guests play American roulette, blackjack or poker under an ornamental ceiling and amidst a carefully designed and colourful décor of carpets, curtains, designer lamps.
The Dome, reserved for events and private games under the very dome of the building and with the best views.
