Cuatro Torres Business Area

Cuatro Torres Business Area is a business park located next to the Paseo de la Castellana. Building was completed in 2008. It comprises four skyscrapers that have become the image of the financial and business side of Madrid.

  • Torre Foster, standing 248 metres high, was designed by Norman Foster. Its floors are organised in a manner akin to a bookcase.
  • Torre Cristal, designed by architect César Pelli, is 249 metres high and boasts a rooftop garden.
  • Torre Espacio has a total height of 224 metres and 56 floors.
  • Torre PwC has a height of 236 metres and 52 floors. Designed by Spanish architects Carlos Rubio and Enrique Álvarez-Sala, it has a luxury hotel and a restaurant that offers panoramic views of the city.

These skyscrapers mainly house offices and services, although they are also put to other uses, such as hotels. Each tower also has a number of underground floors set aside for car parks. At their entrances are green areas creating a square.

There is an interesting contrast between these towers, which have become an iconic image of the skyline of Madrid, and the nearby blocks of houses and neighbourhoods.
