El Taller
El Taller (The Workshop) is a multi-purpose room located on top of the coordination offices of the Matadero Madrid contemporary creation centre. An open-plan space with an impressive and striking industrial aesthetic thanks to the use of roof shingle tiles and old wood in its interior.
The use of shingles contributes to the thermal, acoustic, and sustainable comfort of the building. It has a separate access from Calle Matadero via a ramp, a small foyer, toilets and a 100 square metre room with 4-metre-high ceilings.
