Estadio Vallehermoso

A sports stadium with first-rate modern athletics facilities.

The Vallehermoso Stadium is a sports facility located in Chamberí, recently inaugurated in August 2019. An area of 29,589 square meters that can organise and host both international competitions, sports school events and the city’s other municipal and federated competitions.

The stadium features a partially covered grandstand for 10,000 seated spectators and a spectacular lime-green 400-metre, 8-lane race track. It has a covered 75×12 metre straight training track with a rather peculiar layout due to its location alongside the grandstand.

The facilities also include access control, offices, dressing rooms, storage rooms, technical rooms and toilets, a 110-metre straight track with 9 lanes and 2 queues extending from the ring, a «lane 10», of artificial turf, outside the ring of the track, for long-distance runners; it also has twin lanes for jumping competitions, throwing lanes and circles, and other equipment for practising athletics in the open air, on a natural grass indoor field.

The stadium has a 0 door between Calle Jesús Maestro and Calle Melquíades Álvarez, providing daily access, as well as for athletes and other organising personnel on competition days. Four other entrances are available for access to the stands on competition days.
