Instituto Homeopático y Hospital de San José
Unique homeopathic hospital of Neo-Mudéjar architecture
The Homeopathic Institute and Hospital of San José is located in the Palacete del Marqués de Salados. Built in 1878, it has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC) under the monument category.
It is an excellent example of the use of bricks in Neo-Mudéjar architecture. This style is prominent on the facade, which has granite stonework plinths, carved-wood eaves, balconies and a main veranda.
The interior has an open, central gallery with stairs on either side and a metal and glass skylight that provides the building with a special brightness.
