Jardines de Sabatini
Palatial gardens with a classical style next to the Royal Palace
The Sabatini Gardens are located in front of the north facade of the Royal Palace. The classical-style gardens, created in the 1930s boast a geometric and ornamental design, with various sculptures that were originally destined to decorate the Palace’s cornice.
The garden is split into three terraces: the lower terrace with symmetrical parterres around a large mirror-like pond, an impressive balcony, extending towards the Cuesta de San Vicente beneath a pine forest, and the upper terrace with a series of parterres and huge cedars.
Although the views are incredible at any time of day, when night falls they are at their very best as the yellow and red tones change the look of the grey stone of the Palace until the sun has set behind the skyline of Casa de Campo Park.
