Plaza de la Remonta
Plaza de la Remonta is located in the district of Tetuán, just off Calle Bravo Murillo. Built in 1987, it is a square with arcades that follows the aesthetics of main squares throughout Castile.
A pedestrian square with a few garden areas, brick buildings that incorporate arcades, the vast majority of which are currently occupied by shops and bars. Other uses that we find are a secondary school, a police station and an underground car park for residents.
The square is conceived as a tribute to the architecture of bricks and the master brickmakers and bricklayers who once lived in these streets.
