Cementerio de Vallecas

Vallecas Cemetery has belonged to the capital since 1950, when Vallecas and other neighbouring towns were incorporated into the municipality of Madrid. Some of its burial niches date back to a century ago. It occupies an area of some 21,170 square metres next to the historic centre of Villa de Vallecas.  With a somewhat irregular layout, it is hemmed in by neighbouring streets and parks. It contains columbaria and a dozen or so pantheons and mausoleums.
