A modern sports centre in a recently developed area.

Francisco Fernández Ochoa Municipal Sports Centre is located in the Buenavista neighbourhood in the district of Carabanchel. A recently developed urban area in the district known as the PAU Carabanchel in the vicinity of Islazul Shopping Centre and the M-40 ring road. Spacious avenues and ample parking areas provide easy access to the complex.

A fully-fitted and modern sports centre occupying some 7000 square metres. The sports hall, which can be rented, has a grandstand for 1500 people. It also has an Olympic-sized swimming pool (50×25 metres) and another smaller one used for therapeutic and teaching purposes. The other amenities are:

• Outdoors: 2 seven-a-side football pitches (artificial turf), a roller hockey and skating court, 8 paddle tennis courts and 6 tennis courts.
• Indoors: 3 multipurpose rooms, a fitness room, an open-air solarium, a thermal area with a sauna, a Turkish bath, a Jacuzzi and a contrast bath.
