Entorno del Centro Juvenil El sitio de mi recreo
Located in an inconspicuous part of the district of Santa Eugenia, at the crossroads of the main road to Vallecas Villa and Camino Real de Arganda, the building that houses the “El sitio de mi recreo” Youth Centre (also known as Cerro de las Vacas) is quite striking.
Built in decorative concrete and pre-oxidised steel, it has a trapezoidal layout and elevations, and a series of small, mostly square openings. It has two main sections: the sports, services and lobby area, which is bathed in light from the skylights in the roof; and the classrooms, library and cafeteria area. There is some graffiti in the area.
