Colonia El Hogar del Ferroviario
“The Home of the Railway Worker” is a cooperative of low-cost houses built in 1923 by the General Association of Spanish Railway Workers, whose main value lies in its conservation and its ability to evoke the early years of the 20th century. The profound architectural and landscape changes that have taken place around the estate bear witness to the city’s enormous expansion.
Colonia Hogar del Ferroviario, which covers a surface area of 15,000 square metres, was designed as a cluster of 51 single-family homes. There were seven models: three single-story models and four two-storey models with large gardens.
