Colonia San Cristóbal

Colonia San Cristóbal is located between Paseo de la Castellana and Cuatro Torres Business Area. The housing estate was built in 1949, close to the garages of the Municipal Transport Company (EMT) on Calle Mauricio Legendre, originally for the company’s employees.

There are 25 blocks of houses, five-storey buildings of flats that are accessed via the gallery on the façade. They were built using bricks and timbrel vaults.

In the streets of this working-class neighbourhood is a parish church and a market, as well as small parks, criss-crossed with footpaths that create an open and charming area.

The view from Colonia San Cristóbal is interesting, with the neighbourhood contrasting with the four modern skyscrapers in the background.
