Colonia Virgen de la Torre
The Virgen de la Torre housing estate (along with the Virgen del Rosario and the Trolebuses estates) was planned in 1956.
Its low-rise yellow houses – two or three storeys high – are arranged in linear blocks with ground-floor apartments. Their uniform proportions, simple façades and gabled roofs give them an intermediate character somewhere between rural and urban. The repetitive building system creates a series of squares and gardens of great value.
Most of the remaining buildings have been restored.
