Museo Chicote

A cinematographic icon of the city on Gran Vía Avenue

Founded in 1931, the Chicote Museum is one of Madrid’s most emblematic cocktail bars and has links to the world of cinema, theatre, music and literature. Since Pedro Chicote opened its doors for the first time – the best-known barman in the history of Spain – this venue has been synonymous with fun, a meeting point for international celebrities, and the venue for the wildest, most exclusive parties.

The Art Deco decoration that characterises the venue, the original work of Luis Gutiérrez Soto, remains intact. Elements such as its wooden furniture, sofas, chrome metal chairs, a set of mirrors or the revolving entrance door make the Chicote Museum a jewel of 1930s interior design.

The technical installation includes state-of-the-art sound equipment and a suggestive lighting that changes depending on the time of day. A mixing console, digital players, mics, vinyls and projector equipment make it possible to celebrate any manner of event.

A venue that has enhanced our city’s famous nightlife, a unique and singular space that is perfect for events and parties in the heart of Madrid.
