Plaza Poetas
The Department of Sustainable Urban Development of Madrid City Council has helped the Moncloa – Aravaca district to restore and redesign this square with new benches and landscaped areas for the enjoyment of the residents of the Valdezarza neighbourhood. The refurbishment has also added four new flower beds to the square’s green area.
Popularly known as “Ahorramás Square”, the square received its official name after a process of neighbourhood participation. It is very close to important facilities for the inhabitants of the area, such as Ciudad de los Poetas Municipal Sports Centre, Julio Cortázar Cultural Centre and Dehesa de la Villa Senior Citizens’ Centre, as well as a parish church and a market.
