Low-rise single-family homes next to the overspill apartment blocks, with common areas and squares.
The San Blas overspill estate, located in the Simancas district, was built in 1981 on the site of an earlier overspill estate from 1957.
The current development has 925 apartments in three blocks with a similar layout: eight residential blocks around a central rectangular square, surrounded by a ring of sixteen other blocks, including a shopping area protected by arcades. The wide range of pedestrianised public spaces, such as squares and inner streets, helps to compensate for the lack of green spaces.
