Puente sobre la M-40
On Avenida Francisco Pi y Margall, in the district of Hortaleza, there is a bridge that crosses the M-40 ring road.
It is a wide, four-lane bridge for vehicles, with a pavement and a double bicycle lane, which is curious as it is in an area with no buildings, only the layout of roads.
To the east is a large roundabout, surrounded by wasteland and, to the west, there are spectacular views of Madrid, notably of the Cuatro Torres Business Area.
The eye-catching Edificio Mirador in Sanchinarro can also be seen, with its 21 storeys of flats interrupted by a large central opening, making it a unique and important example of post-modern architecture in Madrid.
