URSO Hotel & Spa Madrid

URSO Hotel & Spa Madrid is a five-star hotel located in the elegant Salesas neighbourhood, between Chueca and Paseo de Recoletos. Housed in a palatial building from 1915 that once served as the headquarters of a paper company, it preserves the neoclassical style of Madrid’s bourgeois architecture while blending it with a refined, contemporary interior design.

The palace retains original features such as its neoclassical façade with turrets, chamfered corners and traditional bay windows typical of noble architecture. A bright central courtyard leads into a modern establishment with 78 rooms, where an elegant, timeless design combines colourful stained glass, decorative tiles and marble staircases with the comfort expected of a luxury hotel.

The rooms are notable for their natural light and marble bathrooms, and those on the top floor include private terraces with views over the former gardens of Villagonzalo Palace and the rooftops of central Madrid.

A distinctive highlight is the conservatory, featuring a glass ceiling, vertical garden and hand-painted wallpaper. On the lower floor lies the spa, an intimate space designed for relaxation in the hydrotherapy area, exercise in the fitness room or personal treatments in private suites.

URSO Hotel also offers culinary experiences such as Media Ración restaurant, where guests can enjoy traditional Madrid cuisine, as well as private dining areas, including the former palace library now transformed into a wood-panelled private dining room, and the elegant lobby bar.
