I studied Technology in secondary school, Performing Arts in high school, and a Higher Degree in Lighting, Image Capture, and Processing. During my degree, I made short films, corporate videos, music videos, news reports, interviews, concerts, documentaries, and commercials, working as a director, director of photography, camera operator (mainly), camera assistant, gaffer, best boy, producer, assistant producer, and still photographer. I have been working at RTVE for over a year as a photojournalist.

In 1997, after my time at ECAM (Madrid Film School), I started working as a cinematographer for the most important production companies, having made such emblematic series as "Herederos" & "La Otra Mirada" (TVE), "Mar de Plástico" (Atresmedia), "Vivir sin Permiso" (Mediaset), "Hernán, el Hombre" (Amazon)... fiction series for which I have been widely recognized among the public and industry.

Description
Attracted by film language, I graduated with a degree in Cinematography from ESCAC (Catalonia Film School) and later expanded my knowledge at the prestigious Maine Media College in the United States. I have worked in different roles before becoming DoP, such as focus puller and gaffer, to learn more about the technical aspects of lighting and camera as well as understanding each role within a set.

Cinematographer and lights crew. Passionate about pictures since I was a kid, I studied a degree in Audiovisual Communication at University of Navarra. Later, I specialized in cinematography with a master’s degree in Digital Cinema at EFTI School (Madrid), and I knew lighting work first hand in a few domestic and international projects. I’m currently based in Madrid, and I work as a light console programmer (desk operator) in commercials, fiction and music videos.

My name is María, and I am a photographer and videographer with over ten years’ experience. I have worked on countless film shoots, advertising campaigns, documentaries and music videos. In fiction, I have worked as a still photographer on multi-award-winning short films such as ‘Tumbas vecinas’ by Inania Studios and ‘All you need is Love’ by La Favorita Produce, directed by Dany Ruz, which won the Carmen Award for Best Short Film in 2026.
