CaixaForum Madrid
A social and cultural centre in a unique industrial style building.
CaixaForum Madrid is a contemporary social and cultural centre located on Paseo del Prado beside the three great museums of the Paseo del Arte (Art Walk): the Prado, the Thyssen, and the Reina Sofía.
A restored building that used to be the old Mediodía power station, it has two characteristics that make it easily recognisable: its vertical garden and its apparent state of levitation.
CaixaForum has a surface area of more than 8,000 square metres dedicated to exhibition rooms, a 322 seat auditorium and a number of multi-purpose rooms for conferences. A café, bookshop and restaurant complete the centre’s offer.
